The professional development and growth of education and care professionals will be the focus of the ‘Praxis Makes Perfect: Perspectives on Pedagogy’ conference on Saturday 1st of August, 2015. Presented by The Workforce Council, this exciting one-day conference is an ideal, targeted learning experience for the Education and Care sector. It will challenge assumptions, incite discussion, and ultimately enhance participants’ knowledge, understanding and procedures in a practical context.
The purpose of this conference is for early childhood and outside school hours care (OSHC) educators and leaders from a diverse range of backgrounds to come together to share perspectives, ideas and stories of pedagogy and practice with each other.
There will be three conference themes: Innovative Leadership, Perspectives on Pedagogy, and Inclusion and Diversity. Presenters are experienced early childhood, Family Day Care and OSHC professionals from varied Education and Care settings in Queensland.
Participants will have the opportunity to join with fellow educators, practitioners and leaders and engage in conversations about quality service delivery. They will also learn from and be inspired by perspectives of practice, innovation and creativity in education and care.
The ‘Praxis Makes Perfect: Perspectives on Pedagogy’ conference will equip participants with fresh understanding, provoke conversation and reflection, and challenge thinking to provide improved outcomes for children and families.
